I was born in Houston, Texas on February 18, 1981. I spent
my childhood in Corpus Christi, Texas and Wilkesboro, North
Carolina.  I was interested in art at an early age and took
private art lessons throughout elementary school. I then
attended three years of high school at Salem Academy in
Winston-Salem, North Carolina where I continued to
participate in art classes.  I graduated from Arkadelphia High
School in Arkadelphia, Arkansas in 1999, and then went on to
complete my  undergraduate Freshman and Sophomore years
at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas as a
Studio Art Major.  After working for a few years in sales in
Hot Springs, Arkansas and later Phoenix, Arizona, I transferred
to McMurry University in Abilene, Texas.  While at
McMurry, I've  participated in many art exhibitions and
completed  internships  with local Abilene potters Angel
Whiteside and Dori Oiler.  I earned my  Bachelor of Fine Arts
degree in  Studio Art from McMurry University in December
2005.  At the moment I am substitute teaching, pursuing my
teaching certificate in Art, and continuing to create new works
in many fields and mediums.  I currently reside in Abilene,
Texas with my  husband, Capt. Daniel King and our Golden
Retriever, Wylie E.
